Akiyoshidai is one of the largest karst plateaus in Japan, stretching across the central and eastern parts of Mine City.
It was designated as a national park (Akiyoshidai National Park) in 1955 and as a special natural monument in 1964.
Whether walking or running, there are many ways to enjoy the natural beauty of Akiyoshidai. Visit Akiyoshidai in any season, walk on your own feet, and explore the wind, the sky, the rocks, and the creatures.

Access
  • 40 minutes by bus from JR Shin-Yamaguchi Station, 30 minutes walk from “Shuho-do” bus stop.
  • From “Akiyoshidou”, please use the circular bus on weekends and holidays, and use the Karusuto-Taxi (shared-ride cab) on weekdays.
  • 10 min. by car from Akiyoshidai IC of Ogori Hagi Road via Minehigashi JCT on Chugoku Expressway.
